The Mystery within |
Tears surprised me today as I commented to a friend how
grateful I was (excuse the honesty) for the “crap” in my life. It may not have been the best word choice but
some of my greatest difficulties and grief turned into pure gold through acceptance, reflection
and prayer. It was my troubles that sometimes
got me in touch with what Howard Thurman refers to as “the genuine in
yourself.” And it did set me free.
My April 21, 2016 post, Goodness Within, attempted to
highlight my experiences with this holy paradox.
What if in times of difficulty we turned to acceptance, reflection and
prayer and felt the genuine Goodness within—more often?
